Step into 2022

As you welcome in the New Year, it’s natural to reflect on the state of your life. How did things go for you last year? Were you happy with the choices you made? Were your relationships nurturing and loving or one-sided and draining? Was your job rewarding and in alignment with your beliefs or was it stressful and toxic?

Situations and relationships change and evolve based on your personal and spiritual growth. What worked for you at one time might be out-of-sync with where you are now.

How do you recognize when you’ve outgrown a situation or relationship and what steps should you take if you find a change is needed?

Signs that a change is needed:

  • -Constant stress and unhappiness

  • -Frequent conflict and strife

  • -No clear vision or hope for the future

  • -A lack of joy and inspiration

  • -Constant feelings of invalidation

  • -Chaos and disharmony that never really resolves

When you’ve identified the issue, it’s natural to wonder if it’s something you can fix or something to walk away from. Fear of change can be a strong emotion and it’s easy to rationalize staying in a negative situation when fear takes over.

Don’t be fearful of making the wrong choice. You should go through the process of self-inquiry on a regular basis. It’s all part of your spiritual growth.

If you’ve come to the realization that it’s time for a change, what steps should you take?

Ground yourself. You always want to approach change from a calm, connected place.

See your fears and insecurities releasing down your grounding cord.

Visualize a situation that gives you hope and enthusiasm about the future. It doesn’t have to be too specific or exact, just practice being in an energized and open state.

Learn to listen to your intuition. Trust this information. Your intuition always knows what’s best for you!

If you’re having trouble taking a huge leap, take a small step. If a leap is needed, sometimes you must take a few steps to get a running start.
