Soul Agreements
"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience." - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
This is one of my favorite quotes and it resonates with many people because it highlights an important truth: that you incarnate on Earth to learn and grow.
As part of your spiritual growth, you make agreements with other souls to help learn and work through old patterns and emotional wounds.
It is believed that before you incarnate, your soul plans certain encounters to help support your spiritual development. These are soul agreements.
Some soul agreements are long. Some are short, but you learn and gain new insight from each encounter.
You might have agreements with a spouse, family member, significant other, friend, a boss, roommate, or a work colleague.
Some relationships are healing and nurturing and some are challenging and triggering.
Even challenging and triggering relationships have a purpose!
These relationships can illuminate emotional and spiritual areas that need work. While these relationships are not easy, they teach you a lot!
As you move forward in life, agreements that are co-dependent and dysfunctional organically come to end.
Recognizing and learning when you have fulfilled an agreement is an important part of the soul contract.
