Love From Beyond

What's the one thing that every person on the planet has in common? Death!!

One of life's biggest questions is: What happens when you die?

When I was a child, I would ponder this question endlessly. It didn't make sense to me that a person would just decompose in the ground for eternity. I had a strong sense that a piece of us left the physical body and continued on, but I wasn't old enough to understand exactly what that piece was.

Then, I had a personal experience with death. When I was 14 years old my Dad died. A few weeks after he died, he would come and visit me. My Mom, three brothers and I were still in the process of grieving him and adjusting to our lives without him. I would sense his presence in a specific corner of my room. He seemed exactly as he was before he died. I would talk with him about my concerns and update him on the rest of the family - like he didn't already know :-)

I have spoken to many other people who had similar experiences. Some reported physical phenomena such as lights and radios being turned on and off, objects being moved around and even a phone call!

Others, like me, reported sensing a presence, hearing a voice, visually seeing the deceased, or smelling their favorite perfume. Almost everyone commented on how comforting it was!

For me, these experiences validate that a piece of us does exist after we die.
